Our Story
Blackwood Place was created by Miranda Austin and Lisa Kimmell in 2021, who through years of friendship, personal collecting, and collaborating on design ideas, discovered they had a shared passion for antiquities, the unusual, beautiful, and strange.
Blackwood Place has become a dream made real of their interests and delight. Everything in the collection has history, has a story. There is heart, beauty, darkness, and hope. There is meaning.
Their wish is that you find something in this unusual trove that you connect with; a totem, a memory, an object of desire. Something that takes you to a secret place, something that has a thread to be pulled.
